Wondering if anyone ones a explorer with a outboard jet? Seems like the 162 and 172 are common models but they used to make a full front model 166 with a OB jet, Wondering some real world experience with them?

Probably will work pretty good if you a nice boat to cruise the river and fish from. They’re lite boats so float in nothing for water. But not tough boats so can’t be bashing it over gravel lol. Only been around the 166 inboard and the 162-172 outboard and they all work very good. Just don’t look at the welds lol. Worst in the industry

My biggest complaint about those are how low the sides are. They don’t even go up to your knees. Fells like you can fall out easy lol

Thanks for the feedback, I know there are no outlaw/fire fish/Bratt. But looking for something that I can hunt out of and is capable of running shallow when needed. Thinking it might be a good first jet boat to start out on

They do run shallow. Lots of interior room with the outboard. What’s the asking price

That’s not crazy. Prices are insane. 172 with a 115/90 is around $50 now. 166 with a eco boom is 60-65.

I thought it’s decent compared to other prices now
