Anyone know what they sound like when they are failing? I have a whurr when I come to a stop. Almost sounds like a really low tire pressure or bad u joint. I changed the axel Ujoints not long ago so I'm sure it's not them.

Sorry
2008 3500
It not the brakes, it does it just coasting. Ujoints are non greasable. Might be 3 months old.
Never tried it backing up. I will!
There is isn't a vibration as just the noise. And does it accelerating or de accelerating , getting louder over time.

Just changed one on my wifes Yukon a week ago, it was only making a noise at 40MPH or when coming to a stop.

Jack it up and take the brakes off and spin the hub, you will be able to tell pretty quick usually.

Does it make more noise when driving and sway the truck down the road slightly right to left to right to left etc..... Does it make more noise when slight turning or worse one side than the other, or does it even make more noise when doing this?

Normally a wheel bearing will make more noise one direction vs the other, but we have had worn/faulty bearings straight ahead too.... Possible front diff noise?
