I'm looking at putting on a set of fender flares on the dodge because the rust is coming up past my chrome ones. I don't want the bolt on looking ones, just flat ones. I've heard you want the ones with the rubber strip that seals against the body. What are the best brands to get? Will be painting them also.

Or if you like the smooth look check the lund flares. I sell a ton of them. Good quality. They cover 4” of face but only 3/4” of extra width. Look like a stock moulding for style

I’ve had both styles, next time if ever I will drill a 1/2 hole in the bottom of both ends. Don’t be fooled by the seal, yes it will keep most of the crap out but the underside where all the water and snow flings around all day long in the wheel well . Has no seal. Unless you pull them off regularly they are mud and salt traps.
