On my M8, I did trim the flap, as the stock one is ridiculously long and ends up halfway under the tunnel. The powerclaw does like to throw a lot of snow though, even riding it, I get pelted in the head on ocasion.. I couldn't imagine not running a flap on it, and can't justify taking it off. Just going to piss a lot of people off IMO.

Did the same to mine as well, trimmed it on the first line up from the bottom.Throws snow a bit but at least it doesn't get caught in the track anymore. The Cat flaps tend to stick straight out in the cold weather so...?
The track does throw lots of stuff but hey, have you ever stood behind a kitty in the litter box !!!

One bad thing about the Assault is that it sends boulders to everyone behind me! I would be afraid to get rid of my rear flap or any part of it. As of now, everyone stays 1/2 mile behind me!:d

My flap has never been stuck on my XP. Wouldn't want to run behind someone without one thats for sure. If you do ride without at least have the courtesy to drive slower on the trails and look back once in awhile.
