Just wondering how rider's that have corporate sponsorship such as CB for polaris, Carl Kuster , Brett Rassmusseen for Ski Doo, Chris Brown and Randy S for Yamaha impact your purchase for Snowmobiles and Accessories. I have had the pleasure of meeting Carl and Chris Brown and think they do have an impact on the above plus promoting fun and safe riding.

nope. they are all just great people doing great things for the sport. chris burandt is a machine, but he could do it on a skidoo or arctic cat aswell despite what he says.

Not a bit. They will all say whatever they need to say to keep their sponsorship. And they are all great riders so they are going to be able to make anything look good.

Turns out Jimmy Blaze didnt really like doing backflips on yammis? Who would have thought.

i think the most important aspect is that you essentially know who is working on improving your product of choice. when i watch carl kuster ride its essentally the same style as my riding just on a different level. so knowing that he is developing the skidoos of the future gives a guy great confidence.

The sponsored pro riders have no influence on my choice of snowmobile, aftermarket parts, accessories or riding gear. I'm not a pro, nor will I ever become one, as I don't have the time and financial resources to ride 100+ days per season. They do bring new ideas and new people to the sport, and help "push" the younger upcoming riders, which is a great thing. Influence on product development is a bonus to the sled industry and subsequent buyers, too.
A good dealer has more influence on my purchase then brand - doesn't matter what you ride, if you end up with poor after sales service and parts support...

I am with everyone else. No influence as they all are so good that they can make any sled do things I would not try due to lack of skill and a desire to keep the repair bills down. I would likely crash in the trees inside of 2 minutes trying the boondocking I see in the videos.

Yes I agree another thing about Carl is that he ride's a stock product and seem's to influence such innovation's as the flex edge and t motion

I would not say they influence brand so much as sled set up. I like seeing what Burandt and Rasmussen do to their sleds that is similar on both Doo and Poo. I will look for a product that is achieving what they are doing even if it is not the one that they specifically endorse.

it used to for me. Like when chuck Norris was a spokesman for bow flex, I ran right out and bought one. Funny thing is after a couple months of using it I didn't look like chuck Norris at all. My buddy said, what did you expect, it's CHUCK FAWKIN NORRIS! Lesson learned

the pros don't help me choose the sled..... but the sleds sure help me choose the pros. Cause the harder the sled is to ride the better the Pro. Give it up for Chris Brown!!! lol

If I rode based on what the pros ride, I would be riding a Polaris. Burant is awesome to watch

Not overly but I have to admit after watching Rasmussen kill it on cats for years and continually say how great the m chassis was then go from not only a pro climb which I love but switch to doo I was thinking about a switch, when I see good riders wearing gear I think they just got the best deal from their sponsor, I pay more attention to what's said on this forum regarding tools and gear and my sled choices are based on my own experiences and what I can afford
