I just ordered his new kit for the etec with the D2 helix. I have the stock 43/47 now and it sucks. I am only running 14.8g of pin wt. with the stock 160/350 and it is running 8000-8100 rpm on clicker 3. How much Hp do you have to be pulling over 20 grams?

Helix...or ramps? Joey builds big-bore specific ramps based on his mountain ramp.

Like I was tellin ya I believe you get to that other primary spring with the lower final force and you'll overcome that pipe temperature detail.
Go to the 200 start to get it to hit 100 low and then the 320 finish to allow the levers to push harder, or heck yet the 200/290 and could possibly give you more room on the flyweight. Another benefit if you were to go to the lighter flyweight will allow the engine to tach even harder when you gas it off the start.
Lots of capacity in that helix, more than I say, its up to you to wring it out.

since i installed the new head it tacks like its on nitrous ,so heading to the mountains on saturday i hope, not changing anything to after i try the head but the head seems to wake the beast right up,when tuning i only do one thing at a time so i dont get of track, joe i will sweet everthing out of that helix not to worry,i have springs already ,besides pulling 50 to 55 mph track speed last time out i thought that was pretty good for my fat ass, lol.

Is Guido going to work on your sled or talk to you ever again when he finds out your running Joes clutching? I hope I'm there when he finds out.

Too funny! :d

20g is for down at 0~3000 feet where hp is between 100~80%

Don't be fooled by more weight = more hp.
When you start clamping the belt harder in the secondary you may at times have to use less weight as you are not wasting the energy in slip.

Joe!, not only are you a vibration analysis tech, one hell of good clutching guru, you can also read minds!!!:d

but to answer your question, Quido is a skidoo mechanic...

I'm kinda getting a complex like DaveB, now I need another Helix also. How many bills is it going to cost me to upgrade to the new Helix.

Isn't it funny how people who are knowledgeable and honestly stand behind their products always have a list of other mechanics who don't like them??

I wish all so-called venders had a web site and blog like joes! You can learn so much on there...not all just clutching.
