Drayton Valley to Brazeau Dam

Drayton Valley to Rocky Mountain House

Rocky Mountain House to Saunders

Drayton to the dam isn’t far I don’t know distance I measure in gas as the sport jet was thirsty and a small tank. And can do it easily in a tank. Saunders to bighorn and back is 68miles depending how many circles in channels you do. I have to be careful on a full tank

I only was from drayton to braz once so I am no help there.

Rocky to Braz confluence is about 75km takes me about 2.5hr to get there going downstream, fishing is way better below rocky, pretty mellow run, river is slower so upstream travel takes close to the same time.

Rocky to Saunders is about the same 75km however the river is faster resulting in a larger differential between upstream and down, 3hrs up, 2.5hr down, pretty mellow with nice views, few fish.

Saunders to the dam is about 50km, river is faster again and braided from the gap up so a fun run with great views, 2hrs up and 1.5hrs down, few fish.

If your coming here from out of town I'd recommend launching at rocky and going right to the dam, depending on your boat speed and fuel capacity you'd have to figure out the logistics. Its a scenic route and a nice day run as long as you get started early and don't mind mostly boating for the day, I've taken several people on that run and everyone has loved it.
