Can anyone help clarify the rules for dirtbike use by minors?
Can a minor ride a dirtbike by himself?
If a minor cant insure his bike, can he ride on crown land legally?

I'm 15 and I got a 230 dollar ticket for dirtbiking on the road. I think She said when I have my license I'm legal to ride on certain roads but only at 50km. And minors are allowed to ride on crown land

what is classified as a main forestry road?

my boy is 11 and has his quad.....he will ride it with myself till we get stopped.....just like his jet ski when the dumb a$$ neighbour phoned in for him riding it last summer (I hope she reads this and knows she is a complete dumb a$$).....cant wait till her dumb a$$ kid trys any thing that is in the gray area! now my boy has a boat with a 9.9....More dangerous than his jet ski.....but now legal!

dam government is killing all the fun for the kids that want to play and play safe with their parents.....I remember having my own gas powered toys at 5-6 years old......we are still alive and I know we had less supervision than my kid gets......Im always with him! well except today when he did donuts in the driveway for 2 hours to break up the ice......well I was modding my quad ...

I will take my boy quadding and boating and sledding! and if needed, I will pay the tickets so he can have some good clean fun......better than sitting in a ditch smoking weed like the neighbours kid!

The way it was explained to me was if they are 9 years or older they could ride on crown land when in close supervision of an adult. No riding allowed on FSR without a valid drivers license and liability insurance.

on private property with consent of the land owner you can do just about anything that isn't breaking any other laws like firing a gun near a house our a road. so that means you can try to drive your dads 18 wheeler up and down the driveway all you want on private property unsupervised. that would probably get you in trouble with mom and dad but not the cops till you tried to cross the road

Ahh ok, but technically on a FSR you need third party liability insurance cover up to 200,000? That APV45 which only covers users who are 16+ years of age and hold a valid driverse license?

I live on the island and around here you can ride trails, pits and most logging roads{the central island logging areas are mostly privatly owned}but on FSR roads you have to be with a adult who has proper insurance,me and my daughter who is 12 riding her raptor have been checked afew times on fsr roads, soon as they find
im insured they have never said anthing about her so
i take that as its ok,but everywhere else its ok,just be curtious to others around and the land,no one will bother you.

ok, all im getting at is i just love to dirtbike, and im currently 15 (almost 16, 16 in august) and i want to be able to ride on my own and with friends, my other question is, can i get liability insurance up to 200k with an learners permit? And if i can would an officer hassel a friend who isnt 16 and has no liability insurance? Or will his bike be seized? Also, can i insure a bike as small as a YZ125?
