diff oil?

what kind of oil is safe for my diffs on a 2002 sportsman 700 someone told me atf fiuld is safe or is a 75 weight oils for trucks safe the stuff from polaris is pricey and whould like to keep from being bent over the counter. thanks

I've run 75/90 synth from Crappy Tire in 7 or 8 machines over the years with no issues....

They sell Castrol and Motomaster....no diff but the price I'm sure.

yeah try the 90 synthetic blend..... it works fine...... any tranny oil will work but look at the visc # and heat transfer properties..... thats the sell when they try and push the dealer brands.......ask the dealer to tell you the difference and show you why on the packaging.... that way you'll know what to look for at crappy tire or else where....... I'm sure the dealers know there stuff but there all salesmen

i just use the castrol; synthetic blend or something semi or full synthetic. 90 weight i think is what i have as well

yeah my buddy changed the oil in his honda used 80/90 castrol gear oil works great and cheap:d

All I use is the same amsoil 75/90 that i have left over from my truck when I did the axles. Seems to work fine and have had no problems after three years.

I change mine about 4 times a year and use 75-90. No issues and its cheep insurance for your diffs.

75/90 SYN is good stuff it creates less heat does not matter what brand every one will have there own opion

Gear oil is good for the rear diff, but you need the additive for the front (don't know exactly what it is, something to do with the clutches).
