diamond s hoods -go or no go

Just joined, great site, wondered what everyone's experience is with the mesh hoods, big improvement or money better spent elsewhere? I am trying to lighten up my M1000 a bit. Do you eliminate the gauge cluster or mount on the handle bars? Thanks

Definately save some weight, visibilty is improved, and shed some heat. You can mount gauges on the bars or there is a pod that goes on the diamond s. Headlights can be mounted on this pod or you can be creative without the pod.
