Well I fell into a project. I found a old wedge chassis with a 1128 Price in it and decided to restore it over the summer.

I got it pretty much complete with some help with the boys at Riderz in Edson but now I need a hood. Does anybody have a line on a BRtech hood or the mold? with the size of the pipes it would be nice to have the BRtech hood that has 4 vents instead of 6, but in reality I need a hood so any thing would be better than nothing. Or does anyone know of a place that can fix this one?

As you can see pretty much done and would be a shame to not put finish it properly. If anyone has some options or ideas I’m open.

Also a big thanks to all the people at Riderz, they have been so great to work with. Everyone from the owners to the mechanics and everyone in between are great people and so helpful all the time.

He's out. He had his old sled on Kijiji a couple months ago.

You could wire weld the hood up, just make some long "W"s out of stainless wire and heat them up with a torch, then push into the plastic. They make a fancy gun for it but I just use pliers and a blow torch and do it on the inside of the hood where you don't see it.

Nice job. Reminds me of my 95,800 Storm. Did you try JT’s Snowmobile Repair in New Lowell Ontario? They used to make hoods there and maybe still do…

No, but I will now. I’m this far in, I’m ok with getting a hood made, I just need to find someone that is old school enough to do the sled justice.
Have you tried Mad Motorsports?
They will be the next call after the long weekend.

Snowmobile Recyclers in Okotoks area
Yes, they have some stock hoods. Which is good but I was really hoping to find a custom one or some insight to someone who still capable of making a hood to bring this sled to its former glory.

and I have talked with Ken quite a bit, he has no leads but is supposed to be finding me a windshield.

Someone has to have a line on what happened to the BR tech mold? I heard they sold it but the trail runs cold after that. If I can find a mold I should be able to get one made if I can find a good glass guy.
