Anyone out there using these products? Can't get over the cost, 60% cheaper then a Klim tec vest. With reduced cost usually comes with reduced quality but I have looked at the specs, watched the demo vids and customer reviews with nothing negitive in anything and that is the most alarming part. Never have I seen any review that is worth reading have all positive to say.

The other questionable claim is the suppliers claim of easy delivery to Canada, I've heard that one before.

Which vest are you looking at? I have the demon back protector vest. It will not provide the same protection as a Tek Vest, as tek vest are designed to protect you from the front and side. I bought and wore mine for skiing, and it was really good. I did find that it would ride up a little bit and not stay where it was supposed to, but it fit a little too big, so that could have been the reason for that. I don't wear it anymore as I lost a bunch of weight and it's just way too big now. I wear the Fox Titan jacket now, and I love it. provides more protection in the arms and shoulders and chest, but still not designed to give the same protection as a Tek vest. If I'm not mistaken, a tek vest will help to protect you against a sled coming down on top of you, and your sides, protecting vital organs, where one of these vests will not. They are more for roost protection and branches and such.

Demon D30 Hypervest is what I was looking for myself and the Demon Flex Force Pro for the wife. At least someone has heard of them other then myself.

That D3O vest would act much like a Tek vest for sure, the Flex force Pro looks more like a Roost vest of sorts with a little more protection. Either way, I liked the gear, and didn't have any issues with it.

You can buy an actual Tekvest a lot cheaper if it doesn't say Klim on it too.

Where? I went to tekvest's website and nearly had a cardiac. Click the Canadian pricing and most of the vests where more then the Klim I found online. One vest was $446. I'm not one for being cheap on safety but with saying that I am not one for throwing money away to a cash cow either. I also don't need to look like a gladiator or a missing member of the LA Raiders. I am really hoping you come up big with the places you speak, I know the name tekvest. Thanks for the post.

I haven't checked lately, but when I bought mine a few years ago from Royal Distributing it was quite a bit cheaper than the equivalent from Klim.

I have ordered the D30 Hypervest for myself and the Flex Force Pro for the better half. I guess I can post a review after I've worn it for 5 in BC middle of March. That is if the extra cake I laid out for shipping pays off. It has been hit and miss with customs as of late. Thanks for the input.
