Rode renshaw today and the sun was shining so it was easy to find fresh snow! We probed in one open alpine spot at 6200ft. The snowpack was about 150cm deep and a pretty hard ice crust about 30cm down. The parking lot was full but we still rode untracked pretty well all day! The trail was great except for the section between the booth and parking lot was pretty icy.

Up Renshaw today, good choice, snow was 8-20in. Depending where you rode, snow was crisp, so were the temps! Started out slow though. Came to 4km on trail and there's an old friend John Trembicki down the embankment, shoulder checked at the wrong time or so he says! Then we dropped thru the middle saddle (ladder) and riding buddy Mark Parrish spears the gulley running thru the valley floor!! Day over! So another buddy and i put in a couple hour ride. Ran into some other friends Brian Bettac and crew and Andy Peak and buddies! Good Times!

Sunny and cold this morning, no wind. Forecast is for a big snowfall around Thursday.

Busy couple of days for Search and Rescue, hospital, chopper, RCMP and ambulance crews in McBride. PLEASE be careful out there. Use your heads, remember your avy training and leave the liquor in your hotel rooms. We are a little low on snow this year and there are some hazards out there to get you if you arent paying attention.

Road Renshaw yesterday. Was a tad chilly. Headed into black water then over towards the ladder to play. Snow was very windblown in areas. When we were close to the ladder the snow was decent. 1' at least of fresh. Still had a great day. The trail heading back has icy patches from 15km to the shack then from there be careful, one at a time the trail is icy going up. Barry is looking at a diversion for a few days. Then there is BIG snowfall expected.

Found a set of goggles in the area north of the ladder. if you lost a set give me some more details about these and they may be returned.

I hope this 'big' snowful brings some good coverage. Never seen Renshaw this low on snow, but still found some good snow in the back

We rode Renshaw jan 2-4 lots of Sledder in there road fresh all weekend
