Dayco Belts

Is anyone trying a Dayco Belt on the 2013 ProClimb 800? I have one that is a limited 163 with es and I blew a belt at 140 miles this weekend. I know this is nothing new but it is all stock with a bit of venting. The clutches were hottt to say the least. I have tried to call some Dayco belt dealers with some numbers I have found on the Dayco site and they say sorry we have no listings.

What number Dayco belt should I get and how much was it?

I can't recommend a Dayco belt. I am running a Carlisle XS822 with much success. I also have TEAM tied secondary and 20t top gear on there as well so I don't know how it will work on stock clutching. I had over 500mi on mine when the jackshaft broke and killed it. Other than that it was still looking really good. MSRP on XS822 belt is 129.95

I'm running a dayco xtx5046 right now in my 16. Basically only broke it in and no hard miles on it. OEM belt as a spare, need to break it in as well. I have always ran dayco as backup or primary. At $140 with a 1 year warranty why not, plus there's a dealer in rocky

Awesome thanks. I just ordered one off ebay for $123 free shipping. Sure beats the price of a cat belt!!

Another good source for belts is Royal distributing. Free shipping over $89 (usually received with in 5 business days) and they carry Dayco and Carlisle.
Ran the Carlisle XS809 until I figured out clutch issue.

Have personally had really good luck with the cat -084 belt on on my 13 800. have 830 miles on it and still looks new. have a spare -084 under the seat waiting if anything happens fingers crossed

Also the 083 works as a good spare, some real good deals to be had on the 083, it will last awhile, the belt really was never given a chance on the 14 and newer secondary clutches which with or without venting run way cooler than there predecessors 12&13, I find revs are a bit better with an 083 but maybe thats just me

all i run is the 083 belt now, works better than the 084 does. im around 600 miles on my 083 belt currently and will continue to run it till i see a cord

At 300 miles on belt. Took it off, losing huge amounts of track speed in climbs, and felt lagging in trees. Put cat belt back on and the 800 soared.

I will keep the dayco belt for a spare, but won't be buying another one. Performance isn't there

Yep they are good as spares but that is all, to save some money I would rather run an 083 cat belt than a dayco, they can be found for $100 or less and work very good on 14 or newer cats

my question with guys buying cheaper spares. why buy a cheaper belt hy not buy the belt that you will just continue to use.

At $130 I thought I'd giver a go. Won't again

i didn't have a problem with dayco on my mod m1000. Yesterday I was struggling to climb an easy hill, sitting on my sled, scratching my head, talking it over with a buddy, yapping about my changes and that I think it was the clutching leaving a lot off the table, he said to throw my dayco into the trees and put on the cat belt, he was kidding of coarse, I changed the belt and tore up the hill with skis in the air. Problem solved, but really didn't believe the belt was the cause. But it was in this case

im not calling you out at all just in general

people buy the cheaper belt as a spare just to get back into town and but there normal belt. why not just buy the normal belt in the first place. if anything they are just wasting money on a ****ty belt just my two cents

Damn, that sucks to hear cuz I have a new dayco that I haven't put on yet. I guess I will keep it for a spare. My 12 m8 loves the 083 with the 2014 gearing and secondary.
