D.E.S.S. Problems ...Help !!

2002 summit 800 high mark
rode last weekend on sunday, no probs. Went out today (sat) download the sled started perfect, got gear on and the idiot light for the D.E.S.S. is blinking, so I made sure it was on all the way. For the next hour I tried it like 50 times, cleaned the connection, twisted it on, spun it, no idea, checked all the wires, Am I missing something ?? Never had this problem before. Need some ideas..

sometimes the little chip falls out, look inside the tether cap and see if it looks like there is a piece missing.

I think the keys got switched this weekend !! Cuz both sleds are blinking. Would that cause it??
