Ya some are crooks. If you are near edm or Calgary you can order what you want and go clear stuff yourself. Been there many times and goes quick. Good luck

we use Summit Customs Brokers (http://www.summitcb.com) for Canadian inbound cargo - coast to coast and UPS Supply Chain Solutions for outbound (not a fan of UPS but they have great infrastructure for US imports to various destinations we ship to). good luck!
