Courts need to do a better job of not letting the low life’s out. I would be pissed being a cop and busting your ass to arrest some ****iot just to have him back on the streets the next day. Maybe the cops should be shooting more of these guys.

The cops are under a microscope and can't do chit anymore besides follow the law to a T, the same laws and system that keep letting prolific offenders off lightly or with nothing at all. I have some cop friends and most are incredibly frustrated and are starting to retire early or leave for other employment as they are so sick of dealing with the same 12 people every week that keep getting let go by the courts.

You guys do what you need to protect your possessions but if you pull the stuff that you are talking about on an open forum there's a very good chance you'll end up worse off than the chit rat stealing from you. If they're in your house while your family is home that's a different situation.

I lived in the NE back in '85 and '86 and it was going down hill back then.

No man this was during work hours. Lots of ****ed up people in NE calgary.

How did that work out for Gerald Stanley? Had to sell everything and move , pay for lawyers to defend himself and who knows what else.

The goal would be to change people's viewpoint, either the law or the juries so that you don't get charged for defending your property or body. Right now it is too hard to have to justify a defense, but we are on the edge of getting it pushed more towards our favour. Juries have agreed and people are proven innocent (yes at a great cost). So, we need to keep changing the laws so you don't have to get to the actual charge. Takes time, but rolling over ain't going to get us there.

On page 2 of this thread I posted about some young guys looking for their dog at 10pm.
Was over at one of my neighbors garage sales today. They had the same thing. Guys looking for their lost dog.
The next night their garage and shed got hit. Didn't sound like the thieves made off with a whole lot. But enough to piss you off and leave you feeling violated and vulnerable

Colton will never steal or try to again will he!?? So what are you saying let wastes of skin just take things that aren’t theirs!?? Even the cop himself admitted on this show that it’s to fuel the drugs by stealing, and they’re looking into ways for people to get let off easier for shooting them, it’s a epedemic out there and it needs to stop, in China or Russia I doubt they have trouble with theft, I say chop a hand off if your caught, or kill them, if every loser had a 80% chance of getting killed while trying to steal I bet most of them wouldn’t try,
