Backstory....got an slp pipe and box on it. Since I’ve put it on I get a bad bog to about 6300 rpm around 3000 feet, than it pulls hard after that. Went for a joy ride around central Alberta today, made it about 30 miles and than it started bogging and smoking so bad to the point it wouldn’t even move and just sit at 2500 rpm at full throttle. If you let it sit for a bit it would than go sometimes reaching full rpm than bog back down. Thinking it’s either electrical or the power valves, any thoughts?

Could it be the elevation or lack of considering the fuel map is most likely for higher elevations? I have a stage 2 Slp kit. When riding trail up in the mountains my sled bogs at +/-7000 rpm. Once I reach a certain altitude (elevation) it runs flawless. Bog is gone and hits 8250 rpm at wot which is bang on for the kit.

I’d agree but the bog is around 3000 feet and today I was riding at 3500 and usually when it bogs it drops to 6300 rpm. Today it wouldn’t even move

Check / adjust the power valves then check the reeds for damage. If those both check out good remove the pipe and fuel controller and try it.

So it looks like the internals of my can broke and are just rattling around inside. I also have a small crack underneath my pipe just before the first bend out of the y-pipe. Kind of disappointed in speedwerxs as I've never seen a pipe crack like that or the internals of a can break.

This is a very confusing thread, first its slp, then its speedwerx, ( which makes a difference in the way the mapping is done)and then people saying its a high elevation box it wont work at low elevation at all? Ive ran numerous stage 2 kits from both manufacturers and a high elevation map wont make it run that bad at low elevation, not ever, it makes sense it was a crack in the pipe, pipe and can was probably damaged and banged around during shipping and cracked once put under heat and vibration, it happens, both companies ship from far away and shipping companies are a joke the way they handle things. However the manufacturer should stand behind their product and give you a new can and pipe on their dime. Ive had really good luck with both companies and they are great to deal with.It does have failed reeds symptoms as well and why exhaust was done and not reeds is beyond me, for the small price of boyseen or v force its a no brainer for the peace of mind

Sorry about the confusion, I had an SLP setup and changed it to speedwerx. Just used to saying SLP. I never mapped the box but its always been sluggish around that 3000-3200 foot altitude and runs great below or above that range. I bought the kit off a buddy and when I installed it the sled ran great with the clutching setup I had so in my opinion why risk a good thing. I've put roughly 1500 miles on the setup now, so it def didn't break during shipping. I talked to speedwerx and they wont warranty it since the kit is roughly 2 years old, which fair enough. Just never seen the internals of a can fall apart like this. Thanks, for the input though.
