Why would anyone travel in a pandemic?

Best time to travel. Everyone’s scared to leave their house. I traveled the country more in the last two years than I would have if the Rona was not around. Minimal ppl at popular destinations, always hotels available easy to get into restaurants. I mean when they started doing take out only that was the shits but all in all it was great. My buddy and his wife stayed home pretty much for two years They got covid recently, Said it was a minor cold. The Rona Still has not caught up with us tho. The Wife’s going to Hawaii soon. $500 for direct round trip flights and $2000 for a 9 day air b & b. That’s under 1/2 of what it cost in 2019.

Sticking up for Ray Larry. Thought you might to but I guess not? I’m sure he’s happy to have you as a friend.
Don't get all upset. I have nothing at all against Arrf as i don't know him and believe he should be able to travel and do everything he wants and so should everyone else for that matter. I just went about it being an a-hole to make a bit of a point. Sure got people worked up and maybe thinking.

If this pandemic is so bad no one should be traveling and this makes no sense at all that they are and all the other hypocrisy of it. The bullch!t of it all makes me sick and that people can't seem understand.

I also dont judge people by their jobs as we all have a roll to play. I couldn't and wouldn't want to be a paramedic and all the best to him for what he does.

You certainly have a good point.

In my mind its either a deadly virus, where we lock down and take all manner of extreme measures to contain it

Or its Not.

And we continue life like normal, shopping for useless items at costco and wally world, travelling about like playboy millionaires and dinning out at the finest Carl’s Jr.

It doesn’t make sense theres some half assed middle ground.

Yep. The bodies were piling up. Good thing we locked the place down.

Interesting, maybe it's those thoughts that make it seem fake to you?

I think of it as picking off the weak... old folks, fat people, chemo peeps, asthma kids, thankfully not the healthy
kids.

It's a cull, they always are.

They locked us down, destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives and businesses, stopped us from traveling and seeing family etc. Thousands of older people died all by themselves because family was not allowed to visit.......... the list goes on and on. All to save lives from this plandemic. Well here's the overall death rates from the last few years in the US. If you notice, less people died in 2020 than in 2018(the death rate average goes up every year because of population growth as well) Yes....... "less" people died in 2020, you know, 2020....... the year that hundreds of thousands of people died from covid!! I'm not the smartest guy around, but in my head, if you have a virus killing thousands and thousands, wouldn't the overall death rate go up? No more people died, than normally die every year from pneumonia and the flu.

I resent that comment but I haven't reported it. It is interesting how we write things these days with grammar/punctuation/spelling, etc..

About people dying and the numbers, here in BC some numbers just came out the other day from public Health. Drug over doses killed 2,224 people last year (2021) and they have listed COVID deaths at 2,707 during the same time frame. So basically only 500 more people died from COVID than the drug problem that is here in this province. But because of the governments handling of the COVID we have had masks, social distancing, hand sanitizers, lockdowns, vaccines, vaccine mandates, QR codes, lack of travel, small gatherings, people losing jobs, mandatory mask wearing for kids in school, schools closed, etc., etc..
So long story short, why haven't they got their panties in a knot over the drug problem?? IMHO, it all leads to some sort of governmental agenda. I am very happy that I discovered that a couple of years ago and my blood is still my own.
