a couple questions guys, 1) when u port your track is it necessary 2 melt the fringes and if so why and how do ya do it? 2) i was thinking of takin off my light and snowflap, i just like the way it looks, and im sure itll save a couple lbs. is there any real purpose for the flap besides keepin the roost outta ur buddies face?

thx:beer:

the snow flap actually deflects snow back on to the track, which conveys it onto the coolers. i run my 04 rev without a snowflap and it ooverheats at least once on the way up the trail, installing scratches helps but the flap works the best. trust me i dont like them on any of my sleds but its almost required. i have mine off right now on my mod and i really dont want it back on haha!!

for porting there has been a few discussions onhere concerning it, includng favorite ways to do it example with a hole saw in reverse to melt through to avoid fray, if you do a search for porting i am sure you will find more an enough info.

on the snow flap...On my last sled i just trimmed about four inches off, gets the sweet rooster tail and kept the engine cool still
