Could this be the future in Reducing Snow Buildup?

I want this...I've worked with hydrophobic coatings on and off over the years trying to find something that would work on a tunnel to reduce snow buildup. This is something completely new as it's a etched pattern into steel. Pretty cool stuff....imagine the reduction in snow buildup with this? Still a ways away..takes an hour to pattern a 1" square

I saw this and thought the same thing but it would only last a couple rides judging by how beat up the inside of a tunnel is after a season.

Sledders are hilarious. They talk about helping third world countries with water problems and we instantly see a way to save a few lbs of ice off our sleds. First world problems.
