Big game season just around the corner.
Got something for the coyotes so they are not feeling left out.
Sako 85S Fluted Laminated Varmit in 22-250 with dual set trigger option.
Topped it with a Votex Viper 5-25X50 Gen ll.
Rather have more scope than not enough.

Took the Sako out for a few shots.
Groups well so far after 33 rounds through the tube. Steel plate a little under 300yds.
The set trigger is just awesome!
Forgot bipod so shooting off of my shooting table over rolled up sweatshirt.
Will have to try again on weekend .

That is a GD shame.. what is the likelihood of those being replaced? Probably slim to none? Poor guy needs a go-fund me page.

Not sure how insurance will be with them yet. Seems like always a battle
Cleaned after 5 shots and again at 25 shots.
Now after every 50 as recommended by dealer's gunsmith.
He was not concerned about initial breakin but more on regular cleaning.

That last group is perfect for a hunting rig. Within 300 yards whatever your aiming at it's gonna be a killshot

What caliber is the Sako
Heavy barrel 22-250 for coyotes and just shootin chit.
Always wanted a 22-250, so I got a good one, but $$$$.
Shooting 50gr Superformance.

So was talking with one of our local gun shops a couple days ago. They tried putting in a stock order awhile ago. 5 distribution warehouses across Canada and no 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag in sight. Most likely alit of other calibers as well.
They expect 5 to 7 years before manufacturing is caught back up to where they were precovid.
They ordered 25 10/22 magazines a year ago and just had a dozen show up recently.

Went out for. Range day today. Hit steel all the way out to 1000, then tried to shoot 5 real tight groups at 100 yards, four 3 shot groups and one 5....
3 of the groups are acceptable..
