Assassin gophers are real.Picked up a Kel Tec on weekend in .223, put a Burris red dot on it and got two 10 shot clips along with the supplied 5 shot. Apparently the 14shot clips jam once in a while and wouldn't want that when a killer gopher is approaching!
I just picked up last week a .45 1911 from Springfield Armory. Just finished installing a trigger kit and hoping to try it out on weekend. I had it out last week before installing the kit with my SR-Rugar. The Springfield is much nicer to shoot then the Rugar, the Rugar feel really cheap and toyish in comparison.
Friends don't let friends buy plastic handguns.
Yeah, I was talking about the Ruger SR.
So my youngest son does demo/reno of homes in the Okanagan valley. On a resent job doing the tear out his guys came across this beautiful BSA Lee-enfield 303 British scout rifle buried in the floor of this older home. The owner of the home had no clue of it existence and had been living in the home for nearly 20yrs.
I'm now the lucky owner, my son gave it to me as the home owner gave it to him. The rifle is in really good condition, stock is beautiful, minor surface rust only.
I did a little research from the ID markings and year. It was made in 1917, so its 100years old. It was also commissioned in Her Majesty Army in 1917 and then recommissioned in 1944. This rifle might have seen 2 wars. Anyhow thought i'ed share.
Anyone notice something missing on the rifle?

I'm also on the lookout for a M1 Garand, specifically a Spring Field Armory one but will take other's. If anyone knows of one hiding some where collecting dust, let me know pls. NO replica's, like Norinco.
Also, check in with NorthPro Sports in Saskatoon, pretty sure there was a gentleman buying one when I was in there last month picking up reloading supplies. Thanks
