I was at the local range the other day and there was a couple of guys shooting an AR, i counted 15 consecutive rounds, not so smart since the RCMP members are there all the time shooting

Legal if the mags say .50 Beowolf on them. Lots of guys around here have them. Expensive, unfortunately.

I'm a big fan of gun maintenance. I disassemble all my guns on a regular basis. BUT having said that, I have a couple SKS's, I have one in particular that I have chosen NOT to clean and I now have 1700 rnds through it and it functions perfectly. Some will flame me thinking the rifle has become a safety issue now but it started off as a bet with a buddy. He told me that if I shot 100 rounds of corrosive ammo through it and left it for 6 months, the gun would be Fawked... It's now 4 yrs old and I love pulling it out and shooting a few clips with it in front of him just to stir the chit. Lol.
Oh for sure they'll keep firing that's what they're meant to do, but before you shoot it next time take a look at your bore, rust pits everywhere i'm assuming, Sure the SKS wasn't made to be an accurate gun, and i will admit to not cleaning mine every time, but i at least deep creep it to stop any corrosion and to keep everything mostly clean. I left mine accidentally for like 5 months after i shot around 150 rounds and all i did was lube it up a bit, first round sure made a smoke cloud cleaning the bore but after that it was like normal.

I thinned you lucked out with a special SKS barrel lol, mine after 5 months had rust spots in the bore and left little pin points in some spots. Probably doesn't effect anything but thought I'd mention it.

but I do gotta say having my synthetic stock and a front mounted grip my gun has barely any kick, only muzzle rise. I was thinking about buying a muzzle break to help with that so I can shoot faster when I miss the coyotes I can recover quicker. Anyone have a good muzzle break?

I heard accuracy increases on yotes once your rivet falls out? Kinda like a BRP breakin chip?? Any truth to this?

Any know much about a Rossi Ranch Hand or Henry Ranch Hand also called a Mares Leg, I am looking at both of them in 44 caliber

I've got the henry but haven't fired it yet (I know that doesn't help you). If I could go back I would probably buy the Henry with the brass trimmings
