I bought one off a guy that never used it, he bought it for his summit x, said it would work on my t3, I got it ceramic coated but I never got any instructions or other parts with it. Would anybody have any instructions so I can throw this thing on?

The only thing you need is the L bracket and a small bolt with nut or rivet and rivet gun to secure the L bracket to your machine.

I drilled a small hole under the spring location directly under the cooker area where the L bracket will get attached to your machine and the spring from it to the pipe.

The left side spring should go to your foot well spring clamp area or if its too big a stretch, use two spring and clip to the foot well.

I loved my cooker can. mine had two compartments, the upper section would cook metwurst in ten minutes or so. the lower section is better for those things you want to simmer for a little longer. I used parchment paper, the upper section would scorch the paper if you left it in too long. I just added extra wraps of paper.

that said, the baffle inside mine fell apart. made a horrible rattling noise at idle so I took it off and cut it open to see wtf it was. put my stock muffler back on, which had never spent a single riding day on my sled, put MBRP on the day i put the sled together out of the crate and the cooker can a few years later.

I don't think I'll ever put another aftermarket can on any sled I own ever again. I had never felt such crisp low end throttle response, it was a different sled at anything less than wide open.

back to cold squished subs for me.

these are my experiences. your mileage may vary.

Love it ! Cooks like crazy, burritos in 7 min. Only 10 louder than stock untill valves open up. Nice rumble but it cooks beautifully. Al and Cathy are fantastic and al says he is working on a quieter one for us Northen Ont riders. Does not throw codes. Works great at 1350 ft elevation.

It was a little dead/quiet around here Trent! A guy has to Doo something to perk things up, right?

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek and as for the assembly, my fingers where itchy and for such a simple job, I just had to :smiliestirthepot:

Suppose you're gonna tell us that monster stickers don't add horsepower?

I see the thieves showing of one of ther counterfeit cans . precision called us last spring asking to buy a cooker can . sold them one at dealer price .nice copy.
specialty got on the band wagon and wow do they stretch the truth . fit a 600 , carbed 800 and etec 800 all the same can and makes hp . really .

I spent a lot of time figuring this set up out and these guys think its cool to steal the idea . I wouldn't mind if they had used ther own idea to come up with a way to cook food on a sled exhaust.
its not flattery guys its stealing . not really good business sence goin on ther.

Should have got a patent on your design.

You will notice most small businesses that are good at stuff like that, especially in small towns, Can get very innovative with things and set themselves apart...Not really feasable to be doing that.

Does anyone know how many muff pot threads are on the site? Probably as many as "Sled deck on a half ton" or "What exhaust can is best?".

Does anyone have dyno sheets testing different cans and the results?

Carry on

I can attest that I have done multiple runs stock versus "the Thing" At all RPM's in the same conditions/location/time. Only 10 dbs louder than stock and 19 when the valves are open. This is at 1350 feet elevation. Sled makers will not omit potential horsepower on the table as it is a ugly cycle to beat the competion in the HP race. This about goverment regulations regarding sound levels. Why dont all sled makes just come from the factory "piped" ? Think about that for a sec......Sound levels. Aftermarket pipes are already baned in Ont/Quebec and soon to arrive your way my friend. The Sled Shed is aware of this and working on a product that is same/lower in dbs. It's a shame that ideas a stolen from some one else. Al and Cathrine have worked very had to assist us with thier ideas, its on my sled and enjoy it much. Have a great hot meal to all. The Thing all they way !

just becuase it doesnt sound like a single engine Cessna doesnt mean it isnt "piped".... The 800 E-tech's come with a tuned pipe. Most of the time people put cans and pipes on these sleds they run worse....
