Convert 08 m8 mechanical reverse to 09 electric reverse

I've had the same old issues with my m8 DD blowing out on me and I thought since I have to rebuild it might as well try and put in electric reverse.Ive read things about having to reflash my Ecu to the 09, change my helix, and a couple wires.fairly simple apperently...would anyone have any experience on this job?

There was info on snowest about this back when it didn't cost money to use that site. I don't remember the details. How many miles did you have on your DD? I have the same sled and haven't had a issue yet but also don't have many miles on it either.

Have you done the transfer gear bearing update? The stock one is a POS. I haven't had a reverse DD issue on a bunch of sleds since updating the bearing.

Switching the wires and updating the ecu only works on the 1000 and not the 800.
