Those are damn good prices you are getting!!!!I charge 3.50 per board foot for 2" of closed cell spray foam. 5.50 per board foot for 2" of closed cell with 3.5" of open cell. Plus a 500 set up fee
A board foot is the amount of drywall that a house requires, a typical 2500 sq ft 2 story 8' upper and 9' main. Can take up to 8000 - 12000 bd ftA 4x8 is also 32 square feet. What is the difference between board feet and square feet then?
I like how you are doing the cold space. 12" of foam imho is over kill in the rim joist's and joist ends. BASF Chemical has the highest LTTR at R-6.22/inch, but it is more $$$ to buy compared to the other Resin's out there. BASF 1/2 lbs foam has a great STC # and works very well for sound proofing. (I would have pushed for more foam in that house, and less batting). The house is on bedrock and there is some exposed bedrock in the basement so I am putting 6" of foam on some of that rock, 6" of foam in some under floor joist spaces where it is a cold zone under the floor, 12" in the joist end spaces, and 2" against foundation walls. I've been told the foam is r5 / inch.
The house is around 3000 sq ft on 2 levels plus basement and 900 sq ft garage. But it has double walls with 3 layers of insulation and a TJI roof with 2 layers of insulation so that's why I have so much of the stuff!
