The 06 had one of the most reliable motors doo made in the last 10 years. I wouldn't be that concerned with 3000 kms. My brother in law has the red 06 adrenaline, just like the one in the ad, and has almost 5000 kms on it. We regreased the pto crank bearing last year, and double checked the compression this year. It is still 150 on each side.

My buddys 06 Adrenaline, just like the one in the ad, toasted the PTO crank bearing at 1600 kms........Some will last, some won't. Any greased crank bearing Doo motor over 2500 kms needs crank run out checked on a routine basis IMO. Even the BRP mechanics are saying this.

Rowdy - Does that sled have the Challenger Lite on it? If so tell your buddy to start looking for a new track.

Oh does anyone know where I can get the manual for the '06 for him? I wanted to make sure he had it.

Shop manual or operators manual? I know you can order the shop manual from a Doo dealer and should be able to order the operators manual also or the operators manual may be available on-line through Bombardier?

I don't know but the lugs are small and it's ported. Possibly? I was actually thinking he might want a new track. Keep in mind he is using this solely for sled boarding.

Shop manual with torq specs etc. I can't remember where I got mine online but it was free and I just printed it off.

This is the challenger lite.

They are super stiff and all they do is trench, they were designed for the hard pack hillclimbs on the RMSHA. They suck in pow. Even for sled boarding its a terrible track. You gotta get to the top before you can go down.

I bet that solely thing will change. I have a bunch of sledding buddies who got their sleds for sled skiing, nobody brings skis any more.

:D Same here, had a group of 5 of them that were "converts", they still bring boards so they won't be branded officially as "sledheads", but they might unstrap the board once every 5 outings now. All the boards do is get in their way now LOL

Ha, a little easier to do with boards. Riding in ski boots is just plain dangerous.

Most of the items in your shop manual like torque specs and such will be similar to the 06. Or just buy one of the digital ones online for like $10.

Which track would you recommend for a replacement?

I bought an online copy and printed it at staples, grand total cost was 50$. When I need to do something, I bring the pages I need to work, photo copy em, go home, cover them in grease and toss em. Keeps my manual pristine.
