Composite wood for decks??

Any body used Fiberon Horizon...? looks good, similar to the Trex capped stuff, but done all the way around.

Plan is still coming together for long weekend deck building. Over a ton of lumber and decking, guess it won't fit in my 3/4 ton dirtymax...lol....decking is 16 - 20 foot long boards.

I'm thinking you need a buddy with a 20'+ trailer..........

I like the Trex a lot. I have found it to be cost effective, yet durable. With all decking and material outside, I think it will be affected by the conditions. With that said though, this stuff is far more durable than traditional lumber, regardless of how well you take care of it. I know in my area people are like you, and want some information. Specifically, they have asked sources like neighbors, a tampa handyman, or went online. You might also consider researching the products independently to see what they say about themselves.

We have chosen Fiberon decking. It was pretty close between many option.
First we had to frame the deck and trust me...it's not going to move or flex...lol...

After some revisions to the deck to properly accomidate the clip system we (the wifey & I) completed the first 16 foot section last night about 8pm. Just 48 feet to go.

Back at it again on Sunday. 16 feet is the goal, lots of cutting as we enter the 45° turn.

Well this may very well be the longest a deck has taken to build but yesterday I finished laying in the boards. Next is railing and then the finishing touches.
