Whats up with people that choose to live in Alberta and then complain that there’s still winter in March?

Radio stations, local news and people I work with…..all whining that it’s still snowing….I happen to like winter….Snowmobiling, skiing, skijoring and moisture for the fields and streams….….whats not to like..:)

Cold, wet, icy, chitty roads, frozen pipes, wet shoes, wet entrance, wet socks, shoveling, getting stuck, getting un-stuck, shovel the roof, car wont start power and gas through the roof as well as fuel to warm up my vehicle.

Oher then that winter is GREAT:beer:

Im a complainer :)

Valid point. My manager moved to Cranbrook from Vancouver, and now complains that there is too much snow. It's simple really, if there is too much snow, move back to Van, I will gladly take your position... :d

I think that's why so many Albertans are moving to the Kootenays. In Creston, you have the best of both worlds. Just this past weekend motorcycles and sleds were seen in town at the same time. Normally the golf club is open by this time each year, yet we sled untill the end of June. We can go riding and on the way home lounge at the beach on Kootenay lake. It's pretty cool. Lots of spring rain, but that just means fresh up the summit.

Yeah I get it...

I to have had my share of cold weather problems, a cracked water pipe last winter and water entering the basement while the outside was a balmy minus 30....or my septic field freezing up the winter before, yes even had to shovel the roof off of the house the garage and the barn, ( while I was up there took some get pictures of the horses ....

But you could chose to go life in say Florida with the other 30 million people and a couple times a year have to board up your house while a pissed off mother nature attempts to blow your house away....or maybe California once again 30 some million others all running for the hills while the ground under them shakes, rattle and rolls....or maybe Phoenix....try 40 degrees when the power company shuts off the power to your AC unit that incidentally sucks as much in energy costs as a furnace in 40 below...

Just saying all in all with the potential winter problems I still choose this as home…….I can dress for the cold, but even after all the cloths are off it's still hot...(ps red hair, light skin and yes I dont tan at all...so marerita's and a pool only dull the sun burn for so long LOL)

WTF is an allem?

"Allem to the left & a Allem to the right"

I think it's along the same lines as a sashay. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go run myself over with my truck for using the word sashay.
