My 2011 Beater Ford Fiesta is "unhappy" in its current state, and will likely be looking to replace it before winter.

I've been searching around a bit, and I've definitely noticed that most of the domestic manufacturers have exited the Car (Sedan/Hatchback) world.

I want a sedan (4 door), or a hatchback, has to be automatic, and would prefer to have those super cool modern amenities like Bluetooth. It also must have an ICE, not be hybrid or electric.

What would you look towards? What would you stay miles away from?

The used market is gross... if you can handle it the old 3.8 GM olds, buicks etc were built proof. I have been looking for something for my daughter and 10k seems to be what 5k bought a few years ago.

Ram 1500 eco diesel. Gets wicked mileage, you won’t die if you hit the ditch, they just came out with a recall on high pressure fuel pump so won’t need to replace that. I know a guy with 2 of them with over 400000 km and running strong.

I really like my Ford Maverick. It is my first Ford so I did not have high expectations. It is not a sedan but has 4 doors and is good on fuel. Quite fast too as it is a 2 litre turbo, especially in sport mode. Price range is about $30k-50k

Ive been looking at Masarati grandturismos the last couple days.

Can be had pretty cheap. 4.7l turbo v8 made by ferrari. Super nice interior.

2 doors only, but has a decent back seat.

Riley just bought a 2020 Kia Stinger GT. Too soon to tell if it's a good car or not but it sure looks cool.

Brother bought a Mitsubishi Mirage. Just as a commuter vehicle, gets 5.7l/100km on the 4 lane. He's doesn't even have 20k in it yet, but it works for him. He did piles of reading on it and said there's lots out there that have made it to 200k.

My worry would be the Cvt, but it's only got 75hp, so probably not enough hp to tear that apart.

Otherwise I'd be looking at a Corolla. If you wanted to try and save a few bucks maybe a Nissan Versa, but no idea what reliability would be like on that.

I have a 2021 Nissan that has 204000 km, runs like brand new. Should get 2-3 more years and a few hundred thousand KM before I change it. Good reliable vehicles. Oil changes every 10-12 thousand K with synthetic, brakes once and tires, drive.

Try and find a good used Infiniti G37X in nice shape. All wheel drive and the Legendary VQ 37 motors that are bullet proof with lots of power and great fuel ecomomy.

Dude just laid this Caprice body down over a Maserati Quattroporte. Pretty Sick.

Ya that would be a fun ride for cruise night. Turn some heads for sure

how's fuel economy? I just know Nissan trucks and suv's are great for reliability but fuel economy isn't really Nissans thing

its one of those NV200 vans very small, fuel is good but not great for a the size of the vehicle. I currently get 570 km roughly on a $59 fill up , at $1.44 per L , its only a 4 banger so with my heavy foot its drinking the fuel.

Part of the reasoning for looking is the fuel bills every week for mama going to and from work with the Grande Cherokee is $150 a week. If I can find a decent automatic car then she can drive it to and from work when I'm not going to the office.

Like to stay $10,000 or less I think.

if the car is for the wife, Toyota, corolla, tacoma, 23+ prius, matrix, camry(mileage, reliability, longevity, resale) Honda civic, accord are number one for a reason!
