2 yrs ago Dons Speed and Weed was selling 08 M1000 new for 8 or 8500. Now people still want 8000 with 2500 miles on them. Thats gotta be some damn good glue.

It doesn't matter where you start...it's where you end that counts. When I sell something on Kijiji, I usually price it with some room to move, because most people want to grind a few dollars off the top end....makes em feel like they got a good deal. But, there's also some people that are just plain fawked.

I find they go year and price (an 04 for 4) but once they hit 03-02 they just stay at the 2-3 mark and don't drop.
And yes it may have a new something but why would that make it worth so much more type of thing..

emailed a glue sniffer on there about the 96 wedgie he was elling for 5500.00 asked wtf did you put one to many zeros in there or what cause that was all it was worth, i could see the busted recoil wrapped around the handle bars and asked if that came with it or if i would have to pay extra.

need less to say they got quite offended by my comment and sent me anasty email back, i responded by saying how do you justify a broken 15yr old sled is worth the same as an 05-06 800 of any make. no response came back. friggen glue sniffers

on another note i got a 96 583 summit i will part with for 10 500 if anyone is interested, it has a good seat and track sled is mint condition, except for the busted windsheild.

You invested more than 25k into a wedge? Why wouldn't you just boost something newer, or will this wedge walk all over a newer turbo machine too?Different strokes I guess...
It will beat some run with some and get spanked by some.

C'mon LHF's sled is ugly as heck but does anyone really think an ET 1160 in a MM chassis isn't going to work very well?

i have sold a number of early to mid 90's sleds. Unless they are in near perfect condition, you shouldn't ask much more than $1,500 and buyers should just stay away from those. You are buying problems. I parted one sled instead of selling it as it was not as advertised when I bought it.

The sleds I sold were always near perfect and I had no problems getting $2,500 for them. That seems to be the magic number. For that price, it better start and have zero cosmetic issues in the seat , track, windshield or plastics.

The 670's are the worst IMO, Sure it may be the "Hot Motor" of the 98' X but it's not worth 5K cause it's extended.
I felt the same way when shopping for an older dodge with a 12valve cummins...glue sniffers are still asking 15k + for these things. Yeah the motor might last forever but that doesn't mean the rest of the truck will! When it comes to selling stuff my rule is: don't. I'm just gonna keep all my toys until I run them into the ground because I will never get what they're worth at sale or trade. I'll buy newer if there is something I've just got to have but I'll keep the old stuff for backup...plus it's nice to have a "loaner" when your friends come to visit ;)
