Commander 1000 Rad Relocate

This customer had chronic overheating issues and could not get through a days ride or poker rally with his Commander 1000 and asked us what we could do. We started with a CBR desert race rad, and went with an inline temperature switch and a painless fan relay kit. All the brackets to relocate the rad were custom fabricated and the rear harness bar was purchased to simplify the install. This is the same set up we use for the the Kawasaki Teryx and the RZR. Got lots out there.... never had a problem.

Wash your rad with a garden hose after every ride. Learned the hard way.

I think if I were to have that as a mod on any sxs I would want a rear windshield or a plexiglass tray and shield around the rad area in case something happened. Also it could work as a bit of a heat shield to keep the heat from the rad off the back of your neck. Just a thought.

But the install looks awesome Chris. Very clean and attractive.

Been upside down with mine and no issues !!!
