I'm guessing Mother Nature has maybe had enough to too many pine beetles......
-2 in Sechelt, reading the posts here makes me not regret moving down here lol
My theory...ice age is a comin’
I wouldn't count on it, last year March was brutal right up to first week of April, me and wife went ditch banging on April 5th and it was a cold ride lolI don't typically have much trust in the long term forecast either. But is is march now after all, and typically the temperatures just go up from here. I have faith!
Bring on the Spring!! Can't wait for muscle cars season and scantily clad women!

Sunshine Coast is one of the only other places in BC I'd live.-2 in Sechelt, reading the posts here makes me not regret moving down here lol

-22 here but -8 on the mountain
Maybe some areas did, I was even going to make a final trip to whitecourt April 15 ,still had good snow but it started to melt extremely fast at that point.Did we not get a good dump late March beginning of April last year?
I’m not to sure, been extremely cold since feb 2. I’d have to ask a couple of buddies that ice fish. What you think you have for ice in and around smithers right now on the lakes if you don’t mind me asking.

Don't get me wrong I love SA, this would be a retirement move to get near the ocean. The funny thing about the greenies down there is they aren't in your face like the ones up here or in the cities. It's like there's more of them so they don't need to tell you about it all the time, they just want to be left alone to do their own thing. It doesn't mean I agree with them but I respect that a lot more than those trying to force their ideologies on others.Ferries and lots of greenies as well as very strong socialism? I don't think you'd like it!
Salmon Arm is a great place and the size is very manageable with good amenities.

Fair enough. But in my view, going to Sechelt is like going to MEC; you can feel it, smell it, taste it, see it, and hear it!
