Last post about Spedden area, are you saying their is over 3ft of snow near spedden area, I was actually going to the farm near their , wondering what Smokey to St. Paul area is like

was on a job site south of there today, speddon, didn't think the ranger would make it, snow mid thigh, and drifting, south of there no problem, grass still showing in the field. going out for Tuesday now, ordered the tracks, will be forced to drive a can-am. be interesting,

Was this mid thigh snow everywhere, field , Hwy 28 ditches etc, or was it just drifts, havent been out their since Dec31 and wondered if any snow storm hit area again.

I would say its drifts. no way theres that much in the fields and all thats happened since then is warm weather. .

Sister lives by Smoky Lake and at Xmas there was like a foot and a half and no new snow and melting

drove through on 28 late last night, i wouldn't get your hopes too high, even if there "was" 3' it is all dry powder with nothing underneath... a good recipie for bending stuff in my mind

Snow update for the cold lake area

Maybe 6" down today. A little more coming overnight. Underneath is bare, or ice though. Not great, but better than last weekend. I'm still going out for a ride tomorrow. I know the area well enough to avoid the land mines though.

Jinxed myself. Found a big concrete block under the snow 200m out of the gas station. Bent both arms slightly clutch side. Not too bad, just enough to piss me off. Heading to McBride Thursday... hope T&T can get me a set by then!

Found some nice drifts all along the fence line out behind the base. Had way too much fun playing in them. Snow was pretty bad elsewhere though.

let me guess behind the fas gas? lol my brother tagged a picnic table that was buried back there a few years ago. I was lucky and missed it by 6" but he was following me and hit it head on. Stopped the sled dead and he went pinwheeling over the bars. Someone should really flag that stuff considering its right beside the ironhorse.

Right behind The Edge actually. 4 big concrete pads buried there. Bucked me off the sled when I hit. My buddy smoked one of those blocks behind FasGas a few years ago though. Totaled his sled.
