Was at Castle Mountain last sunday, Snow at the staging area, light with some half frozen puddles on the trail. Creeks still fully open even up to 4-5000 feet. Access to areas limited due to lack of snow and heavy winds driving it off western faces. Snow conditions below, skinny, wetter snow, deeper in some places with no base. Forgot to probe it, sorry. Alot of ice fog and high level clouds blowing in and out reducing visibility to near zero at times. Needs a helluva dump, some of the main accesses are still flowing buckets of water.

My Son and I went for a Drive today. Fernie was getting lots of Rain.
Took a drive up to Corbin was snowing up there. Thinking we will give it a try tomorrow.
Never gone in there before, Will see what we find. Still bare here at Coleman.
Went for a mountain bike ride when we got back.

They are logging on the Coal Creek side of that road and it is plowed. It is illegal to ride a snowmobile on a plowed logging road. Take it from there.

If you can access the pipeline you can progress but I haven't a clue about the snow conditions and/or the creek crossings.

Stopped at quartz on the way home from Revy, they were riding from the staging area and the groomer had made a pass on the trail.

Well quartz was awesome....hard to find anything less than 2ft of fresh powder.

Too much windshield time for a day trip though....

How's fernie coming along?

Does anyone know if you can unload at the tin shack on the Corbin road to ride to the pipeline and if not due to logging does anyone know if you can drive down that road and unload right at the pipeline ?
Thanks

Send bopper (a member on here) a PM and see if he can accommodate you. He takes great pictures and knows the area well.

How were the snow conditions around atlas? Where did you stage?

Snow was great. It was our first time there so it was nice to have guides to find the deep stuff for us. We unloaded right at the Atlas staging area - the road is plowed out until there.
