Don't know for sure, but the 08's had a recall on the gauge as it was allowing moisture in. My 09 gauge crapped the bed this weekend, trying to see if they will warranty, if not another $565.00 (yup!) for the new one.... one thing we noticed when I had it off though is after stopping, tail light stayed illuminated for about 15-20 seconds. Any thoughts on this?

Ya you can put an 09 sno pro gauge in your 08 1000 and it will work just fine. I did it on mine with no issues
