Doesnt everybody know that you dont play on a hill that the sun has been beating down on it all day?

That's it right there. Even the avy reports were saying to avoid sun-baked zones. Might have been the morning, but still, ride in the shade.

Glad to hear he made it out okay.

Seriously, no helmet. That is the number one piece of safety equipment while riding????!!!! Maybe he forgot it at home, I have had to ride without one a couple of times because I did that. But the fancy headphones tell me he chose not to wear one. DumbA$$.

As for the slide to me that looks like a prime avy slope. 30 - 35 degrees, loaded, sun on it. I wouldn't hit it without a few small swipes on the sides to see what would happen.

Im sure glad that I bought a ABS bag I'm sure it will get used one day_______________----------------------------------------------------but I sure hope not.

if i can remember correctly id say that is a south facing slope, maybe SW... probably 30 degrees where it broke, closer to 45 towards the top.
