My 11 M8 is going thru a facelift and during the teardown I've been using an overhead crane to lift the front and back end as needed. Today I lifted the front about 4ft off the ground and fresh blue cat oil started dripping from the belly pan. Tore the airbox out and front bumper off to do the bdx install and found the clean oil in the intake so it has to be oil injection related I would assume and not engine related? Can't see anything wrong with hoses yet but ran out of time tearing into it. Any ideas or info on this would be greatly appreciated I'm hoping to get back together soon.

Either the oil was siphoning into the carbs/TB, and running back into the airbox, or does the oil canister have a fresh air vent to the airbox?

also finding a lot about this being a common cat problem that happens when on angles like when I had it lifted to add additional oil when on extreme angles and that it's not something to worry about, Glengine mentioned doing the injection delete kit, so that may be the next step

Mine used to do it every summer when the viscosity of the oil changed. Scared the life out golf me the first time. I noticed my Pro had a couple drops coming out of the pan over summer too.
