Hmmm still trying to figure out why this is even up for discussion....

Im assuming because SBR felt it was important for the public to weigh in on this topic instead of just a few of us...

What are your thoughts? If a horrible deal is posted, should everyone just hit the 'back' button and not say anything? Or should we express our opinions...as in every other section of the site?

I was suggesting he would have a much greater chance selling the quad if he washed it and brought it up to its best possible condition. Me saying it "looked like ch!t" was a bit blunt and I understand why it was deleted. Still bothers me that his kijiji Ad still has a dirty ass picture of a quad, like give your head a shake.

I like Longhorn, but I don't see the point in giving the Moderators a hard time. They are doing what they feel is in there best judgement on their OWN time.

Thank you for that, and I wasnt intentionally giving anyone a hard time, but did want questions answered. SBR was FANTASTIC about it, and we sent many pms back and forth last night. He volunteered way more time than was neccesary and I really appreciate that...

think people need to understand that most people value there stuff for what they think its worth
nothing wrong with that since if the price is really to high the selle will notice it that he doesnt get any comments or pms regarding his product

to write all the shitty stuff about a brand, model, engine in a for sale thread is also out of hand

if u wanna buy something make ure research and than make ure decision if u wanna buy a 2005 xxxx that suposed to had engine problems (still up to the buyer if he wants it)

u just gotta put urself in the sellers perpective and see how u would feel if people try to badmouth ure product and making ure life harder to get it sold so u can afford ure new toy

Fair point, to maintain the openness of the board, members can discuss an item in a different thread. I've seen Sponsors on another Board withdraw because of criticism they have received because of price, service and products. A lot of the comments were reasonable and accurate based on my experience. But other times some people exaggerate, there are customers out there are completely unreasonable and you will never make happy, we all have met people like that. . It is a bit of a balancing act keeping sponsors/members happy, so sometimes moderators will make unpopular decisions, someone has to. Probably better to move on some days than to become too distracted,

I tend to agree with LH's sentiment, maybe in another thread.:d

Thanks to everyone for your comments - this is not a SBR vs Longhorn issue, its to do with the management and success/failure of the classifieds.
It just happens that Longhorn and I were dealing with it on the forum so I contacted him to put together a poll (your input is needed).

I want to thank Longhorn for assisting me on the content of this first post and the poll. I very much feel this is an important issue for us, the members, to address. Hearing that peeps don't want to avertise on the site due to the "attack mentality" of peeps at times really bothers me. I want people to be comfortable to use the classified.

So the question still remains active....

Do you agree with Longhorn or SBR's platform (sort of like out own little elections isn't it?)

It would have been nice to post the poll/questions with the original ad in question...It has definitely lost some of its meaning being here, as most members have no idea where this originated from so I personally think a lot of the meaning of the poll has been lost.

In saying this, I also dont want to further discredit the original ad, it seems to still be doing that all on its own...

Thx to both! I think you said best "comfortable to use the classified" ! IMO the classifieds are called classifieds..."not classifieds with chit" or "almost anything goes classifieds" or "tailgate classified".
like the old saying says "KISS" keep it simple stupid, if ya want to bash a product or persons idea of what its worth or not worth there is alot of different sections on here...fill your boots. thoses sections are for that, the classifieds are not IMO...sorry another .2

Original classified that started all this is still generating poor comments, so Im definitely seeing that I was not the only one feeling that it was a bad deal...how are we not protecting the other members of this site by speaking out?

See the ad in question here:

free press time thats the way i see it

even big companies bashing other companies on tv in comercials so i dont see a problem why the normal peep in here cant do the same if he had bad expierience
