I have lived here for 10 years and my volume of water is depleting. I have been told by my neighbors, my well was drill in the 60's.
So yes I could drill another well, but I'm not interested in taking that chance.

What is the depth and casing ID of your water well? 6” ID casing over 100ft is 150gal.
Always thought if my water can’t keep up I would just dump water in it temporarily at times of high water usage.
Likely would just backflow into the reservoir which might not be a bad thing.

My depth is 72 feet and my casing ID is 6"
I keep a 1000L's of water on hand in the summer, to top up the hot tub or water plants
Last summer we moved the tote above the well head, I dropped about 250L's down a 2" water pipe as quick as it could go and that's about all it took. So I know the capacity of my well is decreasing a lot.
Also with dumping a large amount of water down the hole, you stir up the silt and sediment.
So you need to let your pool settle, before you use it.

You just use the public government website hey? Definitely a great tool I used it a bunch when I bought my acreages to help scout out aquifer quality in the area.

I’m happy with my cistern itself, it’s the filling it part that drives me crazy. Wife and 2 daughters at home, we are consistently using 1000gal/week. It’s expensive! I’m interested in what you have to say!

Yes two of everything and rain water went to garden hose and toilets, sorry was out of town working.

We ended up going with Paul aka Catman10. with him having an unbiased opinion about all makes and price, made it pretty easy to decide.
Paul is bringing out the tank, Monday morning. By Monday afternoonish, we will be paying for water lol.
I'll put up some pics later and on Monday..... But for anyone of thinking of going with a cistern I would highly recommend giving Paul a shout.
