One thing is turps in red deer is at least 15% more than track side or buck lake.

U tell me who's cashing in.

Then they give Larry 15% off to make him feel better and still cash in.

Imdoo'n if you own a doo dealership you would be shut down in a month .I ran a doo dealership for 9 years and I had that attitude, and I had every dealer with in a 1000 km piss'd at me .They called are rep and almost shut use down so there's a lot more than under cutting everybody to run a dealer ship.Just saying and electrical is like 10/15% mark up.

so when i went to buy my seadoo start and the parts guy says its 400 bucks plus tax. the other parts guy needs a hook up on tires from my shop. so he tells me. hey hook me up and i'll get ya my cost on the starter. i paid 250 plus tax. that wasnt no 10-15%

I'm guessing that's a dealer that marks up retail?

Used to buy Toyota parts off my buddy in Winterpeg who was the parts manager at stealership.Cost plus 10% was usually LESS than half sticker price!

Willy left Chunk quite a while ago . Guess he was having issues with his business partner and bolted then the other guy was running it. Think it was a matter of time.

Haha...no matter what Willy led you to believe; he was never any sort of partner/owner at Chunk. He was nothing more than a contract manager. Willy is a world class bullshiter....when he worked at Seitzco (back in the day) he constantly led people to believe that he was an owner there as well, but NOT.

When he sold me my sled he told me he was a partner. That's on the short list of things he lied to me about. And I know a few other people that he swindled and lied to as well.

Willy probably did have money in Chunk. Back pay, vacation pay, missed pay days, broken promises....... too bad for him.

i guess he never lost much, if he never paid anyone. so who's laughing now. looks like everyone lost, but a shady chatracter, usually comes out on the shiny side. to do it all again somewhere else.

That is true and bought out Seitzco

I think the new location is kind of odd. I would have thought the Aldersyde area would have been better as far as "on the way" and easier to see from hwy 2 and stop in.
I live near Aldersyde so it's not a big deal for me just seemed funny.

Saves me a drive down Deerfoot.

hahha Tex who cares who's cashing in so to speak just do your homework..... Thats like saying all these oil companies dont make 10% profit baha fak n haha they make just a bit more I would say.... corect me if I am wrong?

On a 12K sled the dealer makes $500 a lot of times or a maybe $1000? thats under 10% and a major capital expense.... therefore they need to mark up other parts/ clothing etc at a higher number to make a profitable dealership.... we are one of the MOST profitable dealerships in western canada and people love us,, yes some hate to lol but overall we have the best service we have the most parts available and we have the biggest selection of new cars,, this also costs us more money to stock all this so we need a return on the investment corect?
There are so many cost factors to consider its not just a quick 100% profit thats for sure

fak a goverment secured invesment will pay 3% return why cant a business make 10%??? NET

like snopro said go buy your random parts elsewhere if there are great savings just dont hate the local guys for it!! because if they could make money and compete with the world economy... here it is wait... THEY WOULD DOO IT!!!!

I want everyone to make great money (legaly lol) but I will do my homework so I dont over pay on my end,,, thats how my world turns

calling all the dealers stealerships would be like me calling all trades people criminal???? its not really all that fair because some are criminals haha but most are great corect?

concrete quote's as follows

one guy $12500

next guy $11000

last guy $9500

so I asked around got a referal and paid $6000 for the job (a great deal done on spare time) cant rember how much concrete it was,,, stamped finish with double black die it was a full truck with the bonus trailer 7 yards? I think product was $3000-$3500? so the rest was labour to the crew.

so who's cashing in here? maybe the first guy has lots of work so he charges accordingly? I dunno but thats half price lol

Hahaha......saving money for the winter, eh!

In the construction world that is a the way it goes. If a company is busy, they will high ball the price cause they don't really want it or need it. If you are willing to pay the big bucks they will accommodate you.

Like you said, "ask around". You probably paid cash to boot!

Going back to the sled dealers there sure are a lot of peeps who don't understand and won't change their opinion one iota......but they surely know it all!!
