Hey Guys what size of in line fuse do these come with? Lost ours.
a 15 amp should be all you need. If you draw more than that you have problems and if you draw too much, the wiring is only rated for that anyway, so don't run too big of a fuse.

We run one on each wall, one dries gloves and helmets the other does boots or whatever. Have batterie bank set up that charge off of truck or 110 helps when your buddy is a plumber (@Bigjerry)

When you don't have boots on every drying rack do you plug the holes that are open ?

No it’s not necessary because the ones that get covered don’t get covered to the point they are plugged so airflows. It’s designed so the boots stop before they hit the pipe if that makes sense same for gloves and helmets

Hey guys, thinking of using a diesel heater in my trailer this winter. Any suggestions where to go in the Calgary area? Looking for brand name units, full kits. Thanks

Where are you guys venting the exhaust and air intake. Side, floor?. Do you mount it on the wall or floor? why is diesel better than propane?

I vented mine out the floor. My air intake is inside. I leave a window open a bit.

Diesel and propane both have plusses and minuses the biggest compact diesel heater you can get is 8 kw ( as far as I know ) witch equates to 27297.13306 btu and the biggest propane rv furnace that you can get is 42000 btu so depending on the size of trailer and the insulation and what temp you are going to be using it in can be a deciding factor
Price- Chinese diesel heaters are fairly cheep most people have good luck with them some don't, Chinese propane furnaces are also cheaper than the North American brands again most have good luck with the Chinese brands some don't
Myself I went with a propane unit because I have a large trailer and I use it in cold temps sometimes, and I work on diesel equipment all the time and I cant stand the smell of it when I am on vacation.

Also curious if anyone has vented out the wall. I think this is how we want to install ours and wondering if anyone found a suitable vent to use or if we should just build our own.

I had wrapped the exhaust pipe on a bike and took a pretty good breath of the fumes that came off the wrap as it was getting cooked for the first time. Didn't feel to good for a few days . Maybe someone else on here can tell me if it is toxic. Saw in one of vrscr43 pics that had he had his heater wrapped. Just be careful around that stuff. It is asbestos as far as I know.

There's a lot of road spray and grime that will get inside these units and "F" them up if you mounted them outside. The fan will not like the water and salt / beet juice, sand, etc and the aluminum case and electronics will not like that either. Not only that, but the colder your actual heater is, the less efficient it will be. The combustion process is an open system (inlet and exhaust open to atmosphere). The air "heating" is designed to heat air in a closed loop system. The warmer the air for the heating gets, the more efficient it becomes (you are only warming air from lets say 0 degrees inside the trailer to 20 degrees, and so for each degree it rises, you will heat it less. - I.E. at 10 degrees you only have to warm it up another 10 degrees). At -20, if you mount the heater externally, you will be constantly sucking in cold external air that never warms up, so your heater is going to be very inefficient. The housing and discharge tubes could also dissipate a lot of BTUs before it even gets into the trailer, depending on how far the run is. Highly discourage any outside mounting.
