You dont need registration and insurance on your sled to haul it do you?

You need proof of ownership, registration or insurance or bill of sale. If you don't have one of the three they can then impound it until you provide the proper documents and once you do then you can pay the storage fees incurred while impounded.

We're just strictly talking about hauling it not riding it.....

So insurance alone is enough.

in my garage
even stuff that is being transported needs to be owned by someone.....
so proof of ownership would be a given.

I've always had insurance but never registration on the sled, then again I've not been asked. With all the talk this year I got registration, even got the right trailer plate on the right trailer. Last time I got stopped for speeding in the park I just told them it was a company owned trailer I was using and I didn't have a registration document, they didn't seem too concerned

If your from outside of bc you need no registration to ride in bc just insurance:d

So, you Alberta guys who ride in B.C. with no registration...you don't ride your sleds in Alberta?

Too cheap to register it? The fine for no registration in Alberta outweighs the cost of registration.

Just sayin....

so how do you prove ownership without registration?
same bs all the time it seems here guy has a 20k machine and they are to cheap to spend 60 bucks a year for reg. but have no problem spending 60 bucks a night at the bar.
somebody needs to get their priorities straightened out imo.
probably the same guy to whine when it gets stolen and cops aren't to concerned about trying to find it.:realmad::rant:
just sayin.

no, bill of sale means f all easily forged. unless from a dealer.
insurance means f all as well have seen before stolen units get insurance before, wasnt known to be stolen until my buddy went to register it, so not sure what you mean by that one. insurance doesn't do any checks on the vin to see if it has leans or if it is reported as stolen,
i have read the thread it seems to be alot like the other threads on registartion. 4 pages of guiys whining about 60 bucks.

i have four units all are insured and registered, most of these guys have 1 maybe 2 units, however we are lucky our reg expires in april, units sit in yard tioll enough snow then they get registered usually costs us like 20-25 bucks each for the year as it is pro rated.

No whining here. Just haven't had the chance to register it as I thought BC didn't require it.
