I was installing a new limiter strap bracket and noticed my front wheels had some cracks in the aluminum . Lucky I got down and looked, so then I started inspecting all my wheels, the other side was the same. So I guess I need to get some new wheels in the morning. Im heading out tommorow in the later part of the afternoon. I dont need those wheels flying apart in the mountains. They must be too thin.

Im sure glad I did find them there, as I may have lost the wheels and damaged somthing, it would work without those wheels anyway. It just chokes me a bit cause they are not cheap either. I am contacting the company who made them to let them know, think its too thin.

Hey Ron them there wheels are cracking cause their on a Poo.....cough cough...ummm I mean a Doo.....lol :D:D.
Maybe the track isn't running quite straight and putting some side pressure on those wheels causing them to crack. Just my :twocents: if the manufacturer won't warranty them.

Another vote for carbon fiber. I ran a 2 wheel set up last winter, and had no problems. I put on a lot of km's last year as well.

I would guess that those cracks are not a big deal... Why? Because they are between the "spokes" and that material is generally milled out of any other type of wheel (automotive etc.) I would guess that those cracks will not comprimise the integrety of the wheel as the spokes take all the force / energy. If the spokes were cracking that would be a different story?

Those cracks obviously have occured due to extreme cold, ice, stress etc. on material that was milled too thin... Kind of what is going to happen to a lot of the parts on the Doo XP... Ooops... did I say that out loud???:rolleyes:
