I am a little tight for time to get them from avid as I want to have my buddy riding by next weekend. I think I paid 297 from avid with shipping then had to pay around 50 for hst from the post office. I was hoping someone had them for a fairly comparable price somewhere in bc or alberta.

tried tracks canada they were around 400 with gst. What gives with avid drivers? Does avid charge distributers what they charge us or is everyone that sells them trying to shake us down. I understand everyone has to make there money but the dollar is good so I would expect that the drivers should be fairly close in price to what you can get them from avid for. But as I said maybe there Robby at avid does'nt sell them to distributers at a price that allows for fair mark up.

i ordered 6 sets and saved 600-700$ from ordering through robbie rather than shops in edmonton or whoever. blew my mind also. usually prices locally are within reason as they usually get a supplier discount...

If my buddy was'nt wanting to go riding next weekend I would probably go direct through avid. Dusty from snowmobile recyclers was saying he might be able to find me a set so we will see what happens. He seems like a really good guy. I can't say that the guy from tracks canada was all that approachable about the whole price issue as well. I basically told him that all said and done with taxes it cames to about $350 here in B.C. and he basically said it would be around 400 and if I want cheap drivers buy wahl bros and he does'nt sell them. I can say next time I'm buying a track or one of the guys who's sleds I work on need tracks, they won't be coming from him. Hey I guess shame on me for asking to pay a reasonable price.
