I'll help you out with as much info as I can....
I've ridden there every year for about 15 years, so I know the trail in and out pretty good :)

Leaving Golden to head to Quartz, you will pass the weigh scales and immediately before the new double lane bridge, you will take a right hand turn, into a little village. You will start your km from the hi way.... you just follow the main road (as long as it is plower that far) for 70 km to the staging area (parking lot for Chatter creek staff). Then it's another 20km on sleds to the lodges. They don't mind sledders in peak season, as long as we respect the skiers designated areas. There is some amazing riding and scenery around the lodge, but the real big areas don't open to us until mid April each year. The road out to the parking lot is constantly used by logging trucks and Chatter staff, so it should be graded quite often, but still can be a handful with fresh snowfall or frozen rain. Normally we can't get back past the lodge(riding areas) until they cut some CAT tracks with their groomers, but I've been in there early season and had a blast breaking some trails :)
I guess it all depends on their snowfall and weather. Take a look at their website and lodge cams.... it is an amazing place to see.

Cheers,
RN
