changing sliders

pick up the back end, pour boiling hot water over the hyfax (flush out dirt etc and make sure no ice between rail and slider), line up slider thru back window on track, remove retaining bolt at front of slider, use packing puller (sort of like wine bottle opener with long handle) thru rear window of track into slider, if needed, tap front of slider backwards to get started.
This is my outside on the driveway technique..hot water is the key..

If ya don't have a window big enough just ream it out a bit for both sides...

just pull it out 8 inches put you sled in reverse and it comes out like a banana peel. even on a ski-doo there is enough flex in the window.

I also use a slide hammer with a dry wall screw in the end through the track window to take the old ones out, usually the whole job take 10 minutes
