BC just anouced they are going to set out bait trailers. Why would you make a public anoucement about this? Put them out and not tell anyone would be a better plan I would think. But I guess they wouldn't get the "good" press by "trying" to stop crime. By the way, thieves really like Ford and Dodge trucks.......No way. They take 30 seconds to steal, just look on youtube.

Like I always say, common sense is a rarity these days. Never underestimated the power of stupid people in large groups.

Just watching the news, one of the most wanted car thieves, (killed a person while getting away from police) is walking around free. Why is he wanted? How come Global news find him and the RCMP can't? Think the cops should look a little deeper in the resume pile!

The main idea of telling is PREVENTION. A lot easier to make them think they are gonna get caught then catching them and tying the case and resources up in court. Likely never make it to court either. My guess is thieve,s will be thieve,s. MIght make some think twice though!! I say run 110 volt,s through the trailers !! That would make them think twice LOL!!

Announcing the program is a good thing. It helps make the smarter crooks realize they may get caught and it will prevent many possible thefts. The dumber crooks.....
They also announced the funding for these bait trailers is provided by all the tickets written in Valemount this season.
