Cataract Creek Snowmobile Trails offical thread 2016/17

I heard from a senior official from Spray Lake Sawmill late this morning that when he left Cataract/the Lost Creek Road last night at 6 pm, it was snowing there. He did not hear how much, but we may need to call our grader contact to see if he got a call out from AB Transportation to clear the road.

Hopefully he couldn't go due to too much snow

Maybe im wrong but I believe snow bikes are not allowed

Correct, only vehicles that are registered as on snow are allowed, snow bikes aren't. Your risk if you want to try.

Yes, this comes up every year. It is registered as a motorcycle. Even though it is converted to operate on snow it is not allowed at Cataract.

And really not sure why you would want to take a snowbike there anyways, it's a trail system, I know there are a few places you could go off the trails, but by the time you get far enough back for there to be enough snow to do it, you would be trying to ride cut blocks with big stumps.

West end of Cataract Creek Trail, straight west of Cataract Creek parking lot/trailhead.

The picnic table is in the Etherington parking lot.
